A newly developed rod breakdown machine which combines over forty years` expertise in wire drawing machine building adds to the range of products. An efficient unit-construction system is available, featuring modules which can be economically configured to suit the user‘s particular drafting requirements and as-reduced product finishes.

Technical description:

  1. Drawing dies in low position for operator’s ease.
  2. Drawing dies fully flooded with drawing emulsion.
  3. Extra pressure cleaning of drawing dies.
  4. Emulsion flowing around roughly one third of the blocks to reduce drive power requirements and prevent turbulence from developing.
  5. Modular construction permits flexible composition of the wire drawing system in terms of both the number of drafts and the elongation of wire.
  6. Each module comes with an individual drive.
  7. Wire elongation decreasing from 41% to 26%, or constant elongation of 26% or 33% per draft.
  8. A die quick-changing system is used, with dummied-out modules deselected to reduce drive power requirements.
  9. Wire guided such that straightline entry into the die is ensured
  10. Power saving of 10-15% compared with a machine equipped with a gearbox.
